The allure of the soft toy is amazing. All the children I know have hundreds scattered all over the cot or bed and playroom. I understand how this happens. Anyone with children or grandchildren cannot resist the urge to keep on buying those cute cuddly teddies. Just when I think I will not buy another one, because the soft toys are taking over my entire home, I find myself cooing over yet another little bunny rabbit, teddy bear, soft puppy, cuddly mouse, elephant, tiger...and cannot resist buying them.
In fact, cuddly rabbits are the things that seem to dominate my home. My daughter’s favourite is a beautiful cream personalised bunny rabbit with an attached comforter. She loves it so much that the thought of losing it fills me with terror as I know the hysteria that will ensue should we find that the creatively named ‘Rabbit’ has gone astray. Should this is fact happen, we have a plan. I have managed to stash away a few substitutes.
